Importance of good chemistry with photographer
Why is it important to have good chemistry with the photographer?
As I have always mentioned in every post, I had the “luck” of photographing weddings in which couples are exceptional, cheerful and have an amazing vibe!!!
I can assure you that the success of each story is due to a team effort between the couple and the photographer (I in this case), so it is extremely important that both parties feel that click.
The wedding day everything happens, tears, laughter, hugs, stress, thousands of things, passed in the blink of an eye, so you must ensure to have a photographer that makes you feel comfortable, relaxed and with the work confidence, it will help both partners to get the photos you want and photographer to develop his style in total fullness, so here are some tips to consider:
- Know what type of photography is the one you want to have at your wedding, every photographer is different and they see the world in many ways, so it should be clear what they want at their wedding, that will help them choose.
- See at least one complete wedding session of the photographer, do not be afraid to ask for a review of previous weddings, this will help them see the style of each photographer and specially to know if it is what they want.
- Meet with the photographer, preferably in person or at least for Skype, have a cup of coffee, get to know a bit, see the portfolio together, tell wedding details and evacuate all doubts from the contract, delivery time and so on.
- Put your hand on your heart and with all honesty decide if it’s the right person for the wedding, it is logical that the budget sometimes influence, but the memories that linger at the wedding are worthwhile and above all confidence of having someone who capture that day the way you want, the way you want, it will be what guarantees them pictures.
- Finally, as I indicated to each couple, enjoy the wedding, laugh, cry, yell, dance and hug each guest (even if there are 200), because it is a day that is planned so long that deserve to be celebrated to the fullest.
